124' Delta
A 124' Delta yacht caught fire and sank in the Bahamas. TowBoatU.S. Fort Lauderdale was contracted to perform the recovery, deploying a salvage team aboard their 96' salvage vessel, the Richard L. Becker, and the 55' Lady Katherine. Upon arrival, salvage divers assessed the condition of the vessel, rigged lift bags, and constructed cofferdams to prepare the vessel for refloating. As lift bags were inflated, the team deployed five diesel-powered high-capacity dewatering pumps to remove water from the vessel. The Delta was then towed approximately 200 miles back to the U.S., where it was hauled out and preserved for fire investigation and inspection.
