Helicopter Recovery
TowBoatU.S. Fort Lauderdale was hired to recover a helicopter that crashed off Key Biscayne Beach in Miami, Florida. Thankfully, all passengers survived the accident. The salvage team responded with the 55' salvage vessel Lady Katherine and a fast-response RHIB. The RHIB was used to survey the surrounding area and confirm there was adequate depth for the Lady Katherine to operate. Once on scene, the Lady Katherine’s crane was used to safely lift and secure the helicopter onto the deck. The aircraft was then transported to shore for inspection and further evaluation.
