54’ Bertram
This 54' Bertram sportfish began taking on water and sank in the New River near downtown Fort Lauderdale during its return trip from the Bahamas. TowBoatU.S. Fort Lauderdale’s marine salvage team responded quickly, deploying oil containment boom to prevent environmental impact. Salvage divers rigged lift bags, successfully righted the vessel, and used high-capacity dewatering pumps to remove the water. Once refloated, the vessel was towed to a boatyard for haul out and inspection.
