The Evolution of a Newsletter
Greetings!
My name is Barney Hauf, the Publisher of the Southeast Salvor, Offshore Navigator, South Florida Navigator and the New River Navigator. For the past 5 years many of you have been receiving a newsletter from us on a quarterly basis. What you may not know is that we have been publishing three other newsletters and sending them to our friends and customers that are more closely aligned to our other business divisions each quarter as well. TowBoatU.S. Ft. Lauderdale was founded as Offshore Marine Towing in 1989. We have managed a pattern of steady growth right from the start by providing prompt, professional customer service at a fair price. As we approach our 25th Anniversary we look toward the future optimistically. This growth has sprouted business opportunities and customer groups that are vastly different but share a common thread....Each of our livelihoods and many of our passions are centered on one thing, the sea!
The Southeast Salvor has been sent to those of you in Law Enforcement, the Insurance Industry, Towing Industry peers and many others. The Offshore Navigator was shared with our friends that we charter our fleet of boats to for purposes of surveying, underwater cable repairs, commercial diving operations, government contractors and other activities. The South Florida Navigator has landed in the inboxes of folks in the Shipping Industry that utilize our passenger and cargo launch services throughout South Florida and the Bahamas. The New River Navigator has been read by those involved in the Yachting Industry worldwide for the past 5 years. These are the people that place their trust in us to assist with their yacht towing needs when they visit South Florida.
While all of you have been keeping current with our accomplishments, conquests and exciting news in the areas that we thought would interest you, most of you don't get to hear the great stories about the happenings within the rest of our company. Our days are filled with large cargo launches to ships offshore, boat fires, Chase boat operations for Navy Submarines, Boats hitting the local reefs, megayacht long distance towing operations, towboat refits and fuel spill containment just to name a few things that keep us on our toes. To this end, beginning with this edition of the Offshore Navigator, we will be publishing one newsletter each quarter which will be circulated to all of you. In the near future, we hope to add another group to our circulation that has helped fuel our growth from the very beginning, the recreational boater...More on that in future issues! We hope you all find this new format entertaining. Please feel free to unsubscribe if our newsletter adds unwanted clutter to your inbox and don't hesitate to respond to let us know what you think!
I look forward to seeing you out on the water!
Best Regards,
Barney Hauf
