Navy Veteran Ticks a Box on his Bucket List

Paul, a Navy veteran who is battling terminal cancer, has very little time left here on earth. His dying wish was to go out on a boat one last time. The crew at TowBoatU.S. Fort Lauderdale got wind of the story and they were determined to make Paul’s wish come true. They quickly jumped into action and scheduled an intracoastal cruise for Paul, his daughter Kimmi and her husband Dan. They located a boat that would be comfortable for the group and on a beautiful June day they explored the area near the Hillsboro Inlet in Pompano Beach and then made their way up to Deerfield Beach on the ICW. Paul smiled and reminisced about his time as a Ship Engineer in the U.S. Navy as well as his time on the water aboard his 24’ Wellcraft.

Time spent on the water is precious. There is something about the feeling you get while underway on a boat that is hard to put into words. Paul knows that feeling and he was happy to feel it once again that day in June. Cheers Paul! The Crew at TowBoatU.S. wishes you fair winds and following seas!
