The Crew of the Richard L. Becker
Enjoys an Evening of R&R in San Juan
After nearly 3 weeks at sea, the crew of the Richard L. Becker spent the afternoon and evening of April 14th enjoying the sites and tastes around historic San Juan, Puerto Rico. TowBoatU.S. Ft. Lauderdale’s 96’ OSV Richard L. Becker recently completed a charter that took the boat and crew from Ft. Lauderdale to a position over 450 miles Northeast of San Juan and then South into the Caribbean Sea as far as the island of Martinique. Their mission was to recover four 6 Meter weather buoys and tow them into San Juan, Puerto Rico. Each of the 4 buoys was cut free from its mooring and delivered successfully, giving the crew something to celebrate!
After taking in the sights including Castillo San Felipe del Morro Fort pictured behind the crew above, they enjoyed a dinner of traditional Puerto Rican favorites at a local restaurant. The boat got underway for her home port in Ft. Lauderdale the next morning to prepare for the next charter. Once back at the home dock, the crew enjoyed some well deserved time off.
