76’ Horizon
In the aftermath of Hurricane Milton in October 2024, TowBoatU.S. Ft. Lauderdale was called in to recover a 76' Horizon yacht that had broken free during the storm and come to rest against the John Ringling Bridge in Sarasota Bay. Our team executed a complicated salvage operation, first removing all fuel and patching all compromised areas of the vessel. A crane barge and excavator were used to carefully dug a trench along the starboard side of the vessel, allowing the yacht to slide free from the bridge. A trench was then dug so the vessel could be towed to deeper water and hauled out for inspection.
