Triton Submarines Charters M/V Richard L. Becker

TowBoatU.S. Ft. Lauderdale was contracted to assist Triton Submarines LLC with an ABS certification dive off the coast of Bimini, Bahamas in Late January. Triton had plans to complete the dive in the clear calm waters of the Bahamas and became interested in the Richard L. Becker because her deck crane appeared to be the perfect piece of gear to deploy and recover the submarine. "We began discussions with the folks at TowBoatU.S. Ft. Lauderdale shortly after the Ft. Lauderdale Boat show. After reviewing the crane specs, visiting the boat and meeting their crew; we were convinced that the Becker would be an ideal choice." After the sub was deployed, the submersibles pilot took an ABS inspector onboard the sub for her check dive which she passed with ease. TowBoatU.S. used one of their 26' RHIB's as a tender to shuttle the passengers to and from the sub, the tender is transported on a cradle fitted to the work deck of the Richard L.
