January Triton Networking Event
On January 20th, TowBoatU.S. New River sponsored a Triton networking event at The Pirate Republic on the New River and it was a night to remember. The Triton is a yachting publication focused on giving captains and crewmembers the information they need to help them run their boats and manage their careers. The company's founders, David and Lucy Reed, along with Peg Soffen do a phenomenal job providing a timely and informative newspaper and their social events have become legendary worldwide! After registering at the entrance, guests were given TowBoatU.S. New River eye patches and complimentary drink tickets. TowBoatU.S. New River's yacht towing flag ship, the Shillelagh and TowBoatU.S. Launch were on display for the party. After networking with the who's who of the yachting industry, guests were encouraged to take tours of the boats. The crowd was entertained by watching several slide shows located throughout the venue containing hundreds of yachting photos provided by TowBoatU.S. New River.
Half way through the evening actual pirates showed up from The Pirates of Rum Cay and fired off their black powder pistols and managed to have a few guests spill their drinks as they hit the deck and ran for cover. Once guests managed to collect themselves, the pirates joined the party and were available for photo ops as seen above! A charter broker from The Sacks Group named LeAnn Morris Pliske was collecting supplies and donations for Timoun Lakay Foundation; a Haitian charity that helps orphanages. Captain Herb Ressing took a cowboy hat around the party and managed to collect over $300.00 for the cause.
TowBoatU.S. New River is an active member of the yachting community and proudly advertises their services in the Triton.
