Captain Mike Knecht and Captain Brad Cunningham have been handing out invitations to TowBoatU.S. New River's monthly Happy Hour Parties to many of the yacht Captains around town. These events have gained popularity and are now greatly anticipated in the Yachting community. Watch for the Tug Shillelagh coming down the river with your invitation!

Many people know that the TowBoatU.S. membership program provides free towing for on the water breakdowns and that it also covers battery jumps, fuel drops, and soft ungroundings.
What a lot of people are not aware of is that there is no vessel size limit to the membership! The membership covers any vessel that the member owns, borrows or charters. What that means to a yacht owner is that not only is his yacht covered, but his tenders and jet skis are as well. Additionally yachts cruising in Bahamian waters enjoy free towing coverage which extends 130 nm offshore! That includes Chub Cay and Freeport!
If a vessel is not disabled but needs a tow for any reason, including convenience or maneuvering restrictions, the owner would receive a highly discounted member rate.
