The TowBoatU.S. Ft. Lauderdale Fleet Broadens With
The Addition of a New Vessel

TowBoatU.S. Ft. Lauderdale is excited about the addition of a new boat to their fleet. She is a 30’ Sea Ark with twin outboard power. The boat is best described as a self propelled barge. She is constructed of aluminum and will serve a variety of functions for the company. Director of Operations Kevin Collins reports “This boat will be used primarily to deploy and recover containment boom wherever and whenever it is needed throughout South Florida. We will store about 1800’ of boom on the boat and can get underway to deploy it on very short notice from the boat’s home dock in Ft. Lauderdale. We have future plans to add an A-Frame and winch to this boat. This gear will make the vessel more useful for salvage operations and for our charter customers.
