Our Warehouse and Maintenance Facility
Our 10,000-square-foot Marine Maintenance and Fabrication Facility in Pompano Beach serves as the hub for fleet maintenance, vessel construction, custom fabrication, and salvage equipment readiness. The facility is staffed by four full-time employees operating under the supervision of our Operations Team. Our shop personnel bring a diverse range of skills, including marine mechanics, metal fabrication, fiberglass repair, and paint work, allowing us to complete a wide variety of projects in-house.
Because our vessels must be ready to respond at any time, preventative maintenance and repairs are essential to keeping the fleet in peak operating condition. Our team performs everything from routine engine service, running gear alignment, and bottom painting to major vessel modifications, structural repairs, and custom fabrication projects. To support these efforts, we maintain a fully equipped fabrication shop featuring a sandblaster, band saws, welding equipment, hydraulic press, metal lathe, CNC plasma cutter and rotary. These capabilities allow us to fabricate custom components, repair existing equipment, and complete vessel construction and maintenance projects efficiently in-house.
The facility also serves as a storage and staging location for salvage and emergency response equipment. This includes high-capacity diesel-powered pumps, pickup and discharge hoses, lift bags, containment boom, towing gear, dive equipment, and air compressors. All equipment is regularly inspected, maintained, and kept ready for immediate deployment to support salvage operations and emergency response activities throughout South Florida.
In addition to maintaining our fleet and response equipment, our shop team is available 24 hours a day to perform machinery preservation services on vessels recovered by our crews. These services help protect engines, machinery, and onboard systems from further deterioration following a salvage. Our secure warehouse also provides ample space for the temporary storage of recovered vessels awaiting inspection, survey, repair, or owner pickup.
Our Offices and State-of-the-Art Dispatch Center
Adjacent to our maintenance facility is our 5,000-square-foot office and dispatch center, purpose-built to support the continued growth of TowBoatU.S. Ft. Lauderdale. The facility serves as the operational hub for our 24/7 response services and houses our advanced dispatch center, equipped with state-of-the-art VHF and UHF communication systems, AIS receivers, and real-time fleet tracking technology.
These systems allow our dispatch team to maintain clear communication with customers and crews while providing accurate vessel tracking and rapid response coordination. Through Radio over Internet Protocol (RoIP) technology, our dispatchers can transmit and receive communications through three high-site locations throughout South Florida, extending our coverage and enhancing operational reliability.
To ensure uninterrupted operations, our critical communications, dispatch, and accounting systems are housed in a climate-controlled server room and supported by a standby diesel generator. This infrastructure allows our team to remain operational during hurricanes, severe weather events, and other emergencies, ensuring we can continue serving our customers when they need us most.
